Participants for "Young ESD Voices" selected
Among 550 applicants from more than 120 countries, 25 participants between 18 and 35 years of age have been selected to take part in the workshop "Young ESD Voices". The workshop will take place on 30 March 2009, one day before the World Conference on Education for Sutainable Development, at the German Commission for UNESCO in Bonn, Germany. Participants will also take part in the World Conference from 31 March - 2 April 2009.
The 25 participants, five from each UNESCO world region, are currently preparing the workshop by discussing key issues to the Conference via an internet platform set up for this purpose. A summary of the online discussions will be fed into the workshop and help participants preparing not only their presentation at the World Conference Opening Plenary but also their inputs to the Conference workshops.
