Graça Machel addressed World Conference participants in keynote speech
Graça Machel, renowned international advocate for women's and children's rights and former Minister of Education and Culture in Mozambique, addressed the participants of the UNESCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development in the Opening Plenary. She emphasised that "much of the knowledge we have gathered about HIV/AIDS, malaria, TB and other health emergencies show us that education is not a luxury, I not even simply a right. It is a potential life saving measure."
