Participants
The UNESCO World Conference brought together around 900 participants – including 48 ministers or deputy ministers – as well as 250 visitors from across the world. International Ministries of Education were represented by approximately 400 participants. About 100 experts followed the invitation to attend the conference. Furthermore, all interested stakeholders had the opportunity to apply online through an open call for participation. A total of 500 candidates wished to participate in the conference but due to limitations only 200 were invited. Additionally, 110 representatives of the press were present at the conference. The keen interest and the wish of stakeholders to take part in this conference, exceeded the organisers’ expectations.
